MN State IT Center: Data Bootcamp (week long)

Engage with and learn hands-on from DATA industry professionals, using real-world data problems, tools, and software to apply your learning of data management, mining, exploration, wrangling, modeling, visualization and storytelling.
At Data Boot Camps, multidisciplinary students from Minnesota State institutions engage with professionals to develop in-depth skills in data wrangling, modeling and visualization. Students also hear from current graduate students and industry leaders, and visit companies on employer-hosted field trips for networking and career success guidance. The last day includes a comprehensive assessment to validate the week-long development of data science and analytics skills.

In order to attend Data Bootcamp you must have:
1. Have taken at least 1 statistics or data science courses
2. Must be currently enrolled in an educational program
3. Must have competed in a Local, State, or National Data Challenge – Examples: MUDAC, Minneanalytics, Terra Data or Data Derby.
If you will be attending from outside the Duluth Area, housing will be available for you at the U of M, Duluth Residential Hall.
Cost of Bootcamp is $100 and covers all instruction, food, and Residential Hall.
