
UMSA is excited to announce our 2014-2015 board of directors. The UMSA board is made up of hard-working security professionals who make time to volunteer and help our organization run more smoothly; they are exceptional leaders in the security community.

President: Patrick Tatro
Our new president served 11 years in the military and has worked in information security for six years. His experience ranges from penetration testing and social engineering to security program management. Patrick also serves as chair for Minnesota Security Professionals (SecMN). You may have seen Patrick speak at AppSec, DerbyCon or our Secure360 Conference as well. You can keep up with Patrick on Twitter.
Vice President: Mat Wilcek
In addition to being on the UMSA board as vice president, Mat Wilcek works for a Big 4 firm helping clients with information security and IT general controls. He has 15 years of experience specializing in areas of IT security and operations, business continuity/disaster recovery and incident response.
Secretary: Rich Rhodes, CISSP
Rich joins our board with over 17 years of IT and information security experience. Rich currently works in all areas of information security and also serves as treasurer for one of our member organizations (ISC)2 Twin Cities.
Treasurer: Michael Wilm
Michael, an IT senior audit leader with Wells Fargo has worked in IT auditing role for over 14 years. He’s been on the UMSA board since 2011 and also represents the Minnesota Chapter of ISACA , where he’s been involved for 10 years.
Secure360 Conference Chair: Marie Strawser
Marie is an experienced business continuity professional with over 15 years of experience in developing and sustaining agile, comprehensive, flexible, scalable enterprise-wide continuity programs. She’s currently a manager within the Ameriprise Business Continuity Management team. As well as being on the UMSA board, Marie serves on the board for the Minnesota Chapter of Business Continuity Planners Association (BCPA) and is a founding member of UMSA.
